The group fight the Black Order, the children of Thanos. Thor returns to Asgard, worried for the infinity stone it harbours. The dying Mar-Vell hands the mantle of Captain Marvel to Carol. On the run, the Avengers (Iron Man, Ms.Marvel, Wasp, Yellowjacket, Vision Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch) try to blend in as they look for refuge.Panther, Cap and Clint are all left alone as the rest of Avengers escape in a broken Quinjet. The team splits up and Hulk is captured by Thanos' forces. He destroys the mansion, takes the Space Gem, and leaves the Avengers running for their lives. As an escaped Mar-Vell arrives on Earth with a mysterious gem he's tracked by the galactic warlord Thanos who is on a quest to court death.
Cap and Hawkeye take it to train the twins to fight for good. They are tracked by the mutant-hunting Sentinels and public opinion against mutants. The Maximoff twins Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch arrive at Avengers Mansion looking to join the side of good.The group also receive a warning from the mutant Destiny that the mad titan is coming. The group also meet the mysterious Maximoff twins. After facing Galactus there is a time of peace in the world, but when the Brotherhood of Mutants attacks NYC in the name of their cause, the Avengers team up with the X-Men to defeat a common enemy.
